boats4u Terms and Conditions of business

Searchers

  • The service provided by boats4u to boat searchers is free of charge on the understanding that once an agreement has been reached to purchase a boat introduced by boats4u the purchasers will inform boats4u immediately.
  • Searchers agree to give feedback to boats4u following the viewing of a boat introduced by boats4u.
  • boats4u accept no liability for the condition of the vessels introduced to searchers.
  • Searchers are advised to seek an independent survey on any vessel they intend to purchase.
  • The specification details given in each vessel are taken in good faith and boats4u accept no liability for errors whether they are accidental or deliberate.
  • Should searchers no longer require the services of boats4u they will inform boats4u as soon as possible.


    Sellers

  • Sellers agree that the narrowboat, as named on the sellers’ declaration, and its contents, as stated on the narrowboat particulars document when registering with boats4u are included in the offer for sale.
  • The narrowboat and its contents are the property of the named seller and are not subjected to any Hire Purchase Agreement other than is disclosed on the sellers’ declaration.
  • Proof of ownership e.g. photocopies of invoice for purchase, receipt, Bill of Sale or Builder Certificate must be provided to boats4u upon request.
  • The information contained on the narrowboat particulars has been given to the best of the sellers’ knowledge and belief and is correct and in accordance with the Trade Descriptions Act.
  • Should the narrowboat have any known defects these will be disclosed by the seller on the sellers’ declaration document.
  • Sellers agree to immediately notify boats4u of an agreement to sell their narrowboat to a purchaser introduced by boats4u.
  • Sellers agree to pay the required fee to boats4u within 7 days of the sale transaction. Should the required fee not be forthcoming within 7 days then the early payment discount will be withdrawn and the full amount will become payable immediately.
  • Should the boat become unavailable for sale the sellers will inform boats4u without delay. Failure to do so may result in an administration charge being submitted.
